I have worked as an independent celebrant in West Sussex since 2017.
Previously I worked for over 30 years in Further Education Colleges in Worthing, as a teacher, librarian and manager; some students kindly called me a legend!
I am patient, kind and caring, and always make the client the focus of the service. I take a maximum of two funerals and one wedding per month, to ensure that each family feels unique which they are.
My relaxed and thoughtful style has made me popular for funerals and weddings. I consider it a great privilege to help people at important events in their lives.
I find inspiration from many sources – art, poetry, history, music, nature, religion – and, if clients wish, they can use these elements to create a ceremony that they will remember forever.
I have a particular interest in storytelling and family history, so I love the opportunity to tell a client’s story in a way to inspire and with great affection.
