If you are looking for an empathetic, kind, supportive and creative Celebrant, I believe the attention to detail all my families receive from first contact through to the service and beyond is borne out in the many, many kind words and feedback I receive after every funeral service I do.

Living in North Devon, my life experiences include teaching, working with children with particular needs, as well as customer facing roles and administrative work.

This has helped me to develop a helpful, attentive and friendly persona that helps me to put people at ease, and listen carefully to their needs and their loved one’s stories.

Married for 42 years to Colin we have two grown up children. I have a great passion for music, travel and organising. Apparently I am a great list maker which perhaps provides me the foundation that ensures I ‘tick all the boxes’ when carrying out my Celebrant duties, as I need to get it just right, for you!

I have now delivered dozens of services, all unique, all focused on what my families want, to make the day of the service itself, a celebration of their loved one’s life.

As well as working hard to deliver the services, I have also undertaken and completed my NOCN Level III in Funeral Celebrancy, which is the highest qualification level that can be achieved here in the United Kingdom.

Your service can be exactly as you wish, it can have music, readings and poems, it can have hymns, prayers…or not. There is no right or wrong funeral service there is only the one you want, and I will work hard to provide you and your loved ones with just that, a personal fitting tribute like no other.

I Really Love…

…the smiles, the kind words, and yes even the tears, as they most often are tears of happiness, knowing that the service for their loved one was just right, and more. It is a vocation that I realise enables me to reflect back to the family, a tribute that is respectful, fitting, sometimes gently humorous, as well as sad, and I know in my heart, that if I have helped to make a very difficult and sad time, into one that everyone can look back on as time passes, and feel comforted, then I know I am doing the right thing.
