I am an Independent Funeral Celebrant living in Dymchurch, Kent with my husband Ian.

In 2015, an Independent Funeral Celebrant conducted the funeral of my mother, I was impressed with how he captured my mother’s personality and delivered the service as if he had known her.  This led me to train with the Fellowship of Independent Celebrants and being awarded six Funeral Units in Celebrancy in the UK by the National Open College Network (NOCN).

Together with the families and friends, I will organise a unique and personal tribute that will honour and celebrate their loved one’s life.  It is important that the family is happy with the service, therefore I will provide a draft eulogy for approval and agree the order of service.

I simply believe in providing a respectful and unique family memory

I offer crematorium funerals, woodland burials and graveside interments and will conduct a funeral service tailored to the families wishes and will put their loved one at the very heart of the proceedings.

I appreciate that families are grieving and I try to ensure that the true character of the person will be presented in the way they wish.  This achieved by my visiting the family at their home or a mutually agreed venue, at a convenient time to find out about their loved one.

I listen to the family and friends to capture the essence and personality of the person and then assist in providing a service that is fitting and unique. As an Independent Funeral Celebrant I am not tied to the ceremonies of any belief.  The family can request faith elements such as the Lord’s Prayer or a hymn to be included, mixed with songs and poems which will reflect the personality of their loved one.

If they wish to do so, family and friends can participate in the service by reading poems, readings or tributes.  I can help with suggestions for readings, poems, prayers and songs.

I Really Love…

One of the greatest gifts we can give to someone at the end of their life is a funeral that captures the spirit and essence of that person.  I absolutely love working with families and friends of the deceased, helping to create a personal and individual service for their deceased loved ones.

I care deeply that everyone should be remembered for the spirit and person that they were and as an Independent Funeral Celebrant I have the honour to assist families in saying a worthy and respectful goodbye to their loved one.
